Li Fangwei is a plastic surgeon at Guangdong Second Provincial General Hospital, a public tertiary Grade-A hospital. He specializes in the treatment of dorsocervical fat pads (buffalo hump), liposuction and body contouring, injectable cosmetic treatments, and other procedures.

He participated in compiling the book Clinical Facial Surface Anatomy: Observing Superficial Landmarks and Understanding Deep Structures. He participated in completing one national-level research project, one provincial-level project, and two municipal-level projects.
